Hi, I’m Hadassah! My artistic style exists at the intersection of realism and impressionism, in the space of memory. I paint real scenes in a colorful, playful, and imaginative way, mixing and layering vibrant colors to call out to the sensation of memory and spirit of the moment. In so doing, I invite the viewer’s attention toward themes of presence, generosity, and love, calling out to beauty in our ordinary lives.

I am deeply inspired by the places and people that make up my world. Growing up in Massachusetts gave me a love for greens and blues, trees and seasons. In Italy, I discovered the power of beautiful spaces, of paying attention to my surroundings and preserving fleeting moments with the stroke of a brush. Living in Cabo Verde made people my favorite muses, teaching me the great wonder of being present with the ones we love.
